I ask about them--in a very newbie way-- and they laugh me off.... well.. I showed them. (It turns out that that server was running Feign Death as well) NOTES -=====- General knowledge of quake cfg files is necessary (ie. knowing what it means to 'bind' things, and maybe a little bit more). Oh yeah, and you should know what impulses are (there are 255 of them, btw). If you don't know what any of this stuff is, go read the .txt files that came with quake, or find a FAQ (http:www.stomped.com is a good starting point). This rc file will let you scan impulses 10-255 in steps of 5, To find modified weapons on impulse 0-9 you usually just use the impulse to, say, toggle between homing-rocket mode, and normal-rocket mode. To use, j - scan next five impulses k - rescan current set of five l - scan previous set of impulses If you think you see somthing unusual happen on one set, you will have to narrow down the individual impulse by hand (heres where that pre- supposed knowledge comes in handy). TECHNICAL STUFF -===============- If you already have j, k, or l bound to something, search and replace all instances of "bind j", "bind k", and "bind l" with whatever you want. And if you can think of any better way to do this.. do it (and let me know, if you're feeling kind).
