The "Classic" PC Games Archives

This is a copy of the original PC Games Archives that was maintained
during the early nineties on ftp.uml.edu by Brian O'Neill, and from
November 1995 until the summer of 1996 on ftp.uwp.edu by David Datta.
The original site was discontinued in June 1997, and most mirrors have
since removed their copies.

Out of respect for the historic significance of this first large games
archive, ftp.gamers.org has retrieved a copy of it from the depths
of the Internet :) and gives it a new home for as long as this site
may exist.

The PC Games Archives

The PCGA is an unfunded, unsanctioned service to provide a central
repository for the PC Gaming community. All manner of "freely distributable"
(i.e. public domain, freeware, shareware, unrestricted, etc., herein
referred to as "freely distributable") games and accessories which run under
MS-DOS or MS-Windows 3.X are accepted. It is also an official distribution
site for games from Apogee, Epic MegaGames, MVP, and Id, as well as Game
Bytes electronic magazine.

All items stored in the archives are in either self-extracting format, or
ZIP 2.0 format. All ZIP files require PKZIP 2.X or later or Info-ZIP's UNZIP
5.0p1 or later.

All executable items are scanned with the latest versions of various virus
scanners at the time they were placed in the archives.
